In response to my friend's test result, I took the time to take the test myself. Upon seeing the results I can say that it's pretty accurate. It better damn will be with 155 questions that get more annoying along the line. It's more-so a confirmation of my own suspicions rather than a revelation on my true character.

I scared my mom silly, with the first entry...

The first entry of the alien saga. Usually when I buy a movie I can force feed them into watching it, no matter how well I know whether they are going to like it or not. The setting of the movie was superb, meaning we watched it by nightfall. I chose to watch the director's cut and we got a short opening scene with the director Ridley Scott saying why he has made the director's cut and hoping we agree with this version of alien. I didn't really care about all that to be honest.

On to the actual movie! Now without summarizing the movie, I'll just portray things that struck me as interesting. The movie is very slow paced as opposed to movies of this time. I personally thought that was brilliant, because it made me feel like I wasn't watching some cheap slasher flick. The second thing was that although you know something bad is going to happen you do get some shocks throughout the movie, even though the movie is well over 25 years old it still manages to scare people, my mom for instance :D. Which is remarkable in my book, especially because it doesn't even look that fake. Sure there are times you notice the outdated effects, but the alien itself is still surreal enough to pose a frightening 'unseen' enemy. The alien itself wasn't also like the current monster movie baddies that move in, kill, fade out. Rinse and repeat till you die out of boredom.

This movie is a sure bet to watch with your friends or even better yet your girlfriend, because I swear that in no time your girlfriend will be more over you than the facehugger alien. Oi, I made an insider pun. I can't wait to see the other entries and all the bonuses on the disk, it should definitely keep me busy for quite some time.
